Trade Show Booth Sizes And Layouts To Consider

Planning a trade show booth requires considering a multitude of factors, but the first step is establishing which booth size is right for you.

So let’s talk about some different factors that go into standard exhibition booth sizes, and how to determine the best choices for your brand. That way your trade show can go off without a hitch and maximize revenues.

How To Choose the Right Exhibition Booth Size

While there’s not necessarily a universal standard exhibition stand size, there are some common sizes to think about. Booth sizes typically range from 10×10 feet to 20×20 feet, with larger sizes usually requiring registration and additional costs. We’ve worked with a wide variety of sizes up to a 60×60 foot space. When selecting a booth size, consider your budget, the number of staff and equipment needed, and the products or services you want to showcase.

A 10×10 booth is a fairly standard size to begin with and great for first time exhibitors. These booths fill the aisles of the exhibit hall and are typically open from the front side.

You can also get end line booths that are 10×20 or 10×30. You’ll notice that most of these booths are measured in 10 foot increments. This keeps the sizing simple while still giving you plenty of options to choose from.

Keep in mind that we’re talking about square footage. So in reality, a 10×20 foot booth will offer double the space of a 10×10 foot booth. Likewise, a 10×30 foot booth will offer triple the space of a 10×10 foot booth.

Trade Show Booth Layouts

Let’s talk about some of the common booth layouts:

Inline

Inline booths, as we just mentioned, are smaller booths that can have sizing options 10×10, 10×20, or 10×30 most commonly.

Island Booths

These displays are great for visibility. They’re open on all sides, which can maximize foot traffic and bring more people in.

Peninsula

Visible on 3 sides, peninsula displays can also attract a lot of foot traffic with its open layout.

To recap, the size and layout of your booth is important and specific to your marketing needs and goals. But that only scratches the surface. Read this post to learn about other design factors to take into account when designing your trade show booth.
